On every page of this site, there is a vertical pane running along the right site. Within this pane, you will see a heading Report a Bug or Issue.
Click the link corresponding to the GLX2 tool that deserves a bug report.
Once on the GLX2 tool's bug report page, scroll down to the bottom of the screen to where you can reply to the discussion with your bug report.
Your report will be posted to the discussion, and our tech support people will be notified of the post. Their response to your report will be posted here where all of our users can benefit. Click the "Notify me" link on the bottom right of this page to receive an email notification whenever this discussion is updated.
NOTE: If the bug you are reporting is from an earlier version of the tool than the one shown at the top of the bug report page, then update your GLX2 tool to reflect the more recent version and test again, please.
You can update to the most recent version from the GLX2 pane of the Rev preferences, shown below. There's no sense in reporting a bug against an old version, since it's conceivable that the bug may no longer exist. This process will save us all lots of time and make for a better product.
yes, but why should this cause these images and stop the editor working (as an editor) the old rev version works ok in this respect.
What are the images anyway?
They're just hidden controls that have been placed on the card. I'm sure they serve some purpose. Ideally they could be moved off-screen, so that turning on that option would not have any visible effect. Not really sure why things don't continue to function when the option is on. Jerry?
The beta version is worse than the 2.02 I have just moved from. At least you could still see the script, even though you could not edit with it.
I should have known better than to use this version, but I assumed it was an obvious problem and would have been fixed.
I presume there must be someone else out there who has noticed the problem?
Maybe others can respond to this, but I've never really found it to be much of a problem. You can fairly easily toggle the menu option to view invisible objects. Simply turn it off when you want to edit your script.
Dude - the reason for making objects invisible is to get them out of the way. You can't edit your scripts because you have explicitly told the IDE to make those objects visible and they're *in front* of the script editor. Go the the rev View menu and uncheck "Show Invisible Objects".
Mark has missed the point here, the issue is the inappropriate display of nonsense when switching to "view invisible objects".
Now I discover that when the program hits a breakpoint, this screen (picture above) appears with a script that is not from me!
Also, there is no obvious way to see my script in this state. Is this a new feature, some sort of improvement I wonder?
If this is not happening to others, should I reinstall GLX2 or go back to the 2.02?
Also, to get rid of the rubbish script, when I click Abort, the editor vanishes and cannot be brought back without exition Revolution and reloading.
Dont tell me Abort means that (vanish etc.) I will not believe you.
#1 (note the all caps here...)
IF YOU TURN OFF "VIEW INVISIBLE OBJECTS" YOU CAN DEBUG (AND SEE) YOUR SCRIPT.
#2 Pressing the Abort button exits (aborts) the debugger and brings back the script editor. While I don't necessarily agree with this design decision, that's the way it works. But you *should* see the script editor when you click Abort. Otherwise something's weird. Try selecting "revGLX2 Code" from the Plugins menu and see if that brings it back.
Thank you for that, Mark.
The version is not working properly, so I have reverted to the earlier one.
The fact that no one appears to have noticed the screen shots or think they are odd / unacceptable to appear at all, leads me to conclude it is peculiar to my (now ex) installation.
[BUG]2.1r2(?) when choose "Check For Latest Version", it finds 2.2b2, which I believe is a beta. I typically use the betas, but "Check For Latest Version" should check official releases, not betas, right?
